Green Highway and the electric vehicle project form part of an Interreg projectThe aim of Green Highway is to survey the need of establishment of filling stations for environmentally friendly fuels and establishment of charging poles for electric vehicles along the SÖT axis. The result shall be concrete results in the form of web-based map solutions and other information material; marketing of the solutions and the supply is central. In this shall also be included the possiblity for development and establishment of rapid charging stations for electric vehicles. Exchange of competence Norway - Sweden will be central: Norway can through the project greatly improve its green vehicle fuel-infrastructure and learn from Sweden; Sweden can gain competence in electric vehicle / charging station possiblities from Norway. The target group is: The transport sector and other companies with substantial driving in service along the SØT axis, municipalities, counties in the region, the population in general and national as well as international tourists.The aim of electric vehicle seminar and tour is to give municipalities, companies and the population in general a knowledge boost concerning electric vehicles/plug-in hybrids as a useful and environmentally friendly alternative. In this aim it is also included to refute the widespread prejudices against the electric vehicles. This shall be obtained by presenting the state-of-the-art within the electric vehicle / plug-in hybrid market and electric vehicle technology, presenting the potential and usefulness for electric vehicles, and by spreading the users experiences from companies with several electric vehicles in use (for instance the Municipality of Trondheim which from June 2008 is purchasing 20 electric vehicles to its municipal car pool). Carrying out 1 day seminars in all three SØT cities (Trondheim 2008, Östersund 2009 and Sundsvall 2010), and an electric car tour through the three cities during 2009. The target group is SÖT in collaboration with electric car manufactorers/-suppliers and interest groups for electric vehicles: For instance the Electric Vehicle Society of Sweden - ELFIR, and the Norwergian electric vehicle association Norstart; also Norwegian and Swedish energy companies. |
